The Germans
Living trough the air raids of the German Luftwaffe 1940, the little boy Paul tries to explain to himself what’s happening to the city during the nights he’s taking shelter down in the London Underground.
Trailer
Paul, a seven year old boy, lives in London with his mother and his grandfather.
It’s the year of 1940, winter is on the doorstep and since September London is under attack
by the German Luftwaffe every other night. Many citizens run for shelter down into the London underground, including Paul and his family.
Paul doesn’t comprehend what war really means, but sometimes he hears the grownups talking about „the Germans“. As a dog enthusiast, Paul assumes „the Germans“ must be German Shepherds. Drifting into sleep one night down in the London underground, the thought of these dogs weaves itself into Pauls dreams.
